Knoxville's Trusted Epoxy Floor Coating Contractor
Family-owned. Local crew. Over 500 projects completed across Knox County since 2012.
A Knoxville Business Built on Honest Work
Knox Epoxy Pros was founded in 2012 by Marcus and Jennifer T., Knoxville natives who saw a gap in the local market: most contractors were offering cheap epoxy paint and calling it a professional floor coating — and homeowners had no way to know the difference until their floor started peeling six months later.
Marcus spent three years learning the trade at a commercial flooring company in Nashville before returning to Knoxville to launch Knox Epoxy Pros. The difference from day one was the process. While competitors were rolling on epoxy paint over uncleaned concrete, we were diamond-grinding every slab and using the same commercial-grade systems installed in airport hangars and hospital operating rooms.
Word spread fast in the Farragut and West Knoxville neighborhoods. Within two years, we had expanded to a crew of five and were handling commercial projects across Knox, Blount, and Anderson counties. Today we've completed more than 500 residential and commercial installations, and we still operate the same way we did in 2012 — with the same standards, the same products, and the same commitment to doing the job right.
Every project gets a written 5-year warranty. Every estimate is free. And every crew member who walks into your home is a W-2 employee — not a subcontractor, not a day laborer. Your floor is our reputation, and we take both seriously.

Most epoxy failures come from skipped steps. Here's exactly what we do — every time.
Free On-Site Estimate
We visit your location, measure the space, test the concrete for moisture, assess crack severity and surface condition, and discuss your goals and color preferences. You get a written quote within 24 hours. No surprises on installation day.
Surface Preparation (The Critical Step)
We diamond-grind the entire concrete surface with commercial-grade equipment. This removes existing sealers, opens up the concrete pores for maximum adhesion, and levels minor high spots. Cracks are filled with polyurea or epoxy injection filler. Expansion joints are addressed. Nothing gets skipped. This step is what separates a 15-year floor from a floor that peels in 18 months.
Primer / Base Coat Application
The epoxy base coat (or moisture-vapor-barrier primer for below-grade floors) is applied with squeegees and rollers to achieve consistent coverage and penetration into the prepared concrete surface. Application thickness is measured and documented.
Color Flake or Decorative Layer
For flake systems, vinyl color chips are broadcast into the wet base coat until the surface is fully covered. Excess chips are scraped off after curing. For metallic systems, pigment is worked into the wet base using specialized techniques to create the desired effect. For solid-color systems, this step is skipped.
Clear Topcoat Seal
We apply a commercial-grade polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat that cures in 2–4 hours (vs. 24+ hours for standard epoxy) and provides UV stability, chemical resistance, and a high-gloss or satin finish. This is the layer that protects your floor for the next decade.
